Normally I have my business intro page here. Despite losing everything we owned including my candle business, I, through generosity from Longwycks Candle Supply, A Scent Shop, Just Scent and EZ WickSystems I was able to get a small portion of my business back up and running. When I poured my first candle after Katrina my heart sang. It didn't matter that there were no walls and half the windows in the house were gone...it mattered that my soul needed the mixture of scents--it helped me heal. The above mentioned businesses had very little to give, very small--and yet they did. Thank you, my wonderful friends.

I also want to thank, with all of my heart, my friends (and you know who you are) for the absolute selflessness and love you gave me as we wandered around with nothing. Text messaging through the storm and caring and worrying. You saved my life. Without you I don't think I could have found the strength to function much less achieve what I have in the last year. You are my angels.

To the church groups who gave everything they had--all over the coast. You worked and you comforted. Your kindness to us all is inexplicable. I can say this...without you we would have been lost.

To the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Fema and the National Guard...Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. We are blessed to live in a country that takes care of it's own...it wasn't perfect, but then Katrina overwhelmed us all. Sorry for the times I may have cussed some of you out in my head.
